History

Requisitioned December 1940 and commissioned as a auxiliary minesweeper 31 January 1941. When the Japanese bombed Darwin harbour on 19 February 1942 the Terka was in the harbour carrying out water-carrier duties. She was originally used to transport the sandstone for the Sydney Harbour Bridge pylons.,
